John Gordon Collins 2021

It is with profound sadness that the family of John Collins announce his passing on June 4, 2021, at the age of 67. John died peacefully with his wife and children at his side. John was a resident of Windsor for the last eight months and was formerly from London.
John was a very loving and beloved husband of Cathy; a proud and loving Dad to David (Cara), Ryan (Hilary) and Catherine (Matt); a delighted and loving Grandpa to Freddie and Henry. John is survived by his brother Jim and predeceased by his parents, Roger and Catherine, his brothers Bill and Victor, and by his in-laws Marjorie and Ray Austin. He will be fondly remembered by his extended family and friends.
Many will remember John from his many years as a realtor and then as an independent home contractor. 1998 was a very good year when John and Cathy met, fell in love, and married the following June. They were blessed to have shared all those happy years. John had many interests including camping, all things WWII aircraft, early regional automotive history, and creating or building models. Family was of upmost importance to John, and he enjoyed such great conversations and time with his kids and grandkids. All will remember John for his humour and positivity.
A private family internment and committal service will be held on June 11, officiated by Rev. Dr. Sheila Macgregor, Siloam United Church, London. If you so desire, donations to the Arthritis Society would be greatly appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave.,South Windsor (519-969-5841).
