It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of John Fekete, our beloved husband, father, and grandfather. John passed away just short of his 85th birthday, on December 2, 2021.
John was born in Miskolc, Hungary on December 26, 1936 and immigrated to Canada in 1956. Shortly after, he met and married the love of his life, Eva. In the years to follow, they lovingly welcomed daughters Sandra and Wendy. John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a wonderful friend to all. He had many passions including sports (soccer), cooking, music, travel, and his family.
John will be lovingly remembered by his wife Eva, daughters Sandra, Wendy Robinson (Rob), and his two grandsons Tyler and Nicholas, who both filled his heart with love, pride and joy. John was predeceased by his parents Esther and Istvan.
Due to current Covid restrictions, a private service will be held at the family’s request.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Chartwell Griesbach for their care and compassion over the last several years.
