Obituary
Passed away after a short illness on Monday, August 2, 2021, at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital, at the age of 78. Son of the late Jack and Viola Ball (nee Austin).
Beloved husband to Ruth Ball (nee Medley) of 55 years, who pre-deceased John on July 25, 2021.
Cherished father of Jodi Gray (Matthew), Casey Ball (Kim), and Eddie Ball.
Beloved grandfather of Skyler, Jack, Lauryn, and Wyatt. Brother of Helen Butler (d. Romeo), Ann Forman (Gerry), Judy Armstrong (Allan), and the late Ken Ball.
In keeping with John’s wishes, cremation has taken place and he will placed by Ruth’s side.
The family would like to thank Dr. Lisa Tsugios, and all of the doctors and nurses who cared for John at Orillia Soldier’s Memorial Hospital and South Muskoka Memorial Hospital.
A Celebration of Life will be held for John and Ruth at a later date.
In memory, donations can be made to Scouts Canada or South Muskoka Memorial Hospital and may be arranged through Reynolds Funeral Home.
