  1. My husband and I often use some of John’s comical expressions today that we adopted back in the early 1980’s when we became friends with John (I worked with him at the CEC). It was just six years ago that we searched on the internet to see if we could find John and we came up with a telephone number. John was intrigued to receive our call from Florida and recalling a bunch of names of our coworkers that I brought up. He may not have remembered me or having us over for dinner or us reciprocating at our place; but we clearly remember John with great fondness. John appreciated to learn that we had remembered him throughout all these years, because of his positive influence, his advice which inspired a career direction, as well as his kindness, humor and friendship. John was humbled and pleased to hear that he had made a difference as we are certain he did with countless others. A lovely man, a privilege to have known. With peace, our condolences to the family.
