Peacock, John David:
The family is saddened to announce the passing of John Peacock on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at the age of 83.
Predeceased by his loving wife, Judie (2019).
Father of Jeff (Helen) and Jen and Grandfather to Jackie.
Survived by his sisters-in-law Marie Peacock and Jean Heimpel, brother-in-law Paul Heimpel (Marilyn), cousins, nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.
Predeceased by his parents William H. Peacock and Cora Peacock (Scheifele), brothers Don and Bill, sisters June Fogal (Alan), Carol Hogg (Gil) and his father in-law Eddie Heimpel and mother-in-law Marie Heimpel.
John will be missed by the many friends he made at Driftwood Park Campground, the Ontario Plumbing Inspectors Association (O.P.I.A.) and the South Central Ontario O.P.I.A. Branch.
John was a Certified Master Plumber and worked in the trade until 1972 when he become employed by the City of Guelph as a Plumbing Inspector. John retired in 1998, as Chief Plumbing Inspector for the City of Guelph.
Visitation and sharing of memories with his family will take place at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 from 4pm-7pm. Jeff’s family will receive friends from 7-8pm. Relatives and friends must RSVP to attend either visitation by calling the funeral home or through the funeral home website.
A private celebration of Life will be held at Henry Walser Funeral Home Ltd. Relatives and friends are welcome to join via henrywalser.com/live-streaming on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 3pm. Cremation will take place and John will be laid to rest at a private family burial at Mount Hope Cemetery Waterloo.
Those wishing to honour John by way of a memorial donation, may do so by contributing to the Hospice of Wellington or Guelph General Hospital (cards available at the funeral home).
