MERCER, Joan May
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Joan May Mercer at home with her family by her side on Tuesday August 31, 2021, in her 90th year.
Predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Robert. Loving mother of David (Sandy), Janice Heard and Brenda Garvey, all of Picton and Paul (Susan) of Ottawa. Daughter of Herbert and Florence (nee Melbourne) Sheard with siblings Sydney, Herbert and Dorothy, all predeceased. Proud grandmother of 13 (predeceased by Nicole and Hannah) and 13 great grandchildren.
A lifetime member of the PECMH Ladies Auxiliary, she enjoyed curling, playing bridge and her church family. She will be forever in our hearts.
Mrs. Mercer rested at the Whattam Funeral Home, 33 Main St., Picton, ON. Cremation has taken place and a family graveside service will take place at Glenwood Cemetery.
If desired, donations to the PECMH Foundation ‘Back The Build’ or St. Mary Magdalene Anglican Church, Picton would be appreciated.
