Obituary
O’Hanlon James Oliver, at Chapman House Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce, Owen Sound on Thursday November 18, 2021. Jim O’Hanlon of Port Elgin in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Darleen Grant (nee Galliher) of Port Elgin. Dear father of Tanya (Rory O’Neil), Daulta (Carey) and James. Stepfather of Derek Grant (Heather) and Leanne Grant. Proud grandfather of Sinead, Delaney, Caleb, Tattum, Shea and of Malcolm and Wesley. Also survived by brothers, Reamon, John, Dermot (Helen) and sister, Mary (Jerry Courtney) all of Ireland. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, his friends of the workplace and by his Southampton Tim Horton’s buddies. Predeceased by his parents, Redmond and Ellen O’Hanlon and by his sisters-in-laws Shella and Lilla. At Jim’s request Cremation has taken place with his Ashes to be interred in his beloved country of Ireland at a later date. The family will be attending to a Funeral Mass to Celebrate the Life of Jim O’Hanlon, at St. Joseph’s Church, Port Elgin, on Tuesday November 23, 2021. Expressions of Remembrance may be made to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital CT Scanner Project or to Chapman House Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce.
