It is with profound sadness that the family of Jessica McCormick announce her peaceful passing on June 9th, 2021 after her courageous battle with leukemia.
Jessica will be lovingly remembered by her fiance Shane Postill and their son Hunter which were the loves of her life.
She will also be dearly missed by her parents Dave and Louise McCormick, her brother Trevor McCormick (Aliah), her sister-in-law Melissa Babcock (Kyle), her mother-in law Maureen Dawson (Bob Young) and her grandma Ann McCormick.
Loving Aunt to Pacie and Levity Babcock, Cash and Haila McCormick. She also leaves behind her much adored dogs Zeus and Daisy.
She will be reunited with her beloved grandma Mimi Hartley and grandpas Royal Hartley and Bill McCormick.
Jess met many incredible people during her journey. A special thank you to all the nurses at Victoria Hospital C7 Oncology floor for your excellent care and to Dr. Saini who always gave her hope and support.
Jess will also be missed by all her “work family” at Marshall Gowland Manor where she worked as a PSW since the age of 18.
Jess was a breath of fresh air, a social butterfly. In a booklet she filled out named Voicing my Choices she was asked the question: These are the things that are important to know about me. And she answered: I love my family so much. Hunter is my world. I hate cancer.
