Obituary of Jean Elizabeth Gamble
The passing of Jean Elizabeth Gamble of Gagetown , NB , formerly of Fredericton , NB , wife of Harold Gamble occurred on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at the Orchard View Nursing Home. Born on June 21, 1932 in Vernon Bridge , PE , she was the daughter of the late Roy and Donaldina (Murchison) Enman. Jean was a member of Nashwaak Centennial United Church ; she enjoyed singing in the church choir and was a Life Member of the UCW. She was also a member of the Mic Mac Trailer Club, Stepping Stone Senior Centre. Jean enjoyed playing the harmonica with the SSSC Troubabours, liked knitting, crocheting, cooking, reading, gardening, making preserves and camping.
In addition to her husband, Harold, she is survived by her sons, David Charles (Susan) of Oromocto, NB; Kevin Roy (Linda) of Oxbridge, ON and Harold Garnet Jr. (Debbie) of Ramara, ON; grandchildren, Jeremy, Joseph, James, Evan and Michael Gamble, Carrie Dain, Kaitlyn Booth Gamble and Shailyn Whitehouse; great grandchildren, Alexander, Lily, Iris, Chloe Gamble; Carter and Noah Gamble and Nate, Jevon and Rowan Booth; sister, Irene Masters of Vernon Bridge, PE; several nieces and nephews; daughter in laws, Debbie, Linda and Susan. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Clifford Fenwick Enman; sister in law, Catherine Enman, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and pets.
A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 1:00 pm with Rev. David Luker officiating. For those attending the public memorial service, masks are required and will need to provide proof of vaccination and government issued ID. Interment will take place in Nashwaak Centennial Church Cemetery . For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Nashwaak Centennial United Church or the charity of the donor’s choice.
