Peacefully at Pleasant Meadow Manor in Norwood, Ontario December 30, 2021 at the age of 94. Beloved husband of the late Joan Forde (Davidson- Richardson). Loving father of Anne Hartwick and Russell Forde (Margaret). Dear grandfather of Amanda Hartwick, William Hartwick and Jesse Forde. James was the son of the late Alfred Forde and Freda (Hay). Dear brother of Marilyn Begg (Raymond), and Shirley MacDonald (Bernard). Predeceased by brothers, Fred, Doug, Ken (Thelma), and George (Jean). He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Jim was born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan and moved to Ontario as a child with his family. He spent the rest of his early years in Seymour Township where his father farmed. When he married Joan in 1950 they farmed in Asphodel Township until retiring. They moved and resided in an apartment in Campbellford, until her passing in 2008. A private family service will be held in the spring at Westwood United Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Alzheimer’s Society.
