James “Jim” Vincent Richard
1953-2021
MONCTON, NB – James “Jim” Vincent
Richard, 68, of Moncton, NB passed away peacefully at the Moncton City
Hospital on Saturday, November 13, 2021. Born in Rexton, NB he was the
son of the late Yvon J. and Alice (Mundle) Richard.
Jim worked with the Moncton Employment & Training
Services, Inc. (METS) for many years until he retired at 65. He was a
very crafty person and he enjoyed building Meccano sets. He loved
music and his favorite singers were Johnny Cash and Stompin’
Tom Connors.
Jim leaves to mourn his sister Sharon Richard-Skinner (Brad)
of Amherst, NS and his three nephews, whom he loved very much, Corey
Skinner of Iqaluit, NU, Tyler Skinner of Amherst, NS and Andrew
Skinner (Casie Skidmore) of Springhill Junction, NS.
Jim will also be sadly missed by his second mother, Lorraine
Leger of Moncton, NB.
Family would like to thank the nurses and doctors on the
Palliative Care Unit at the Moncton City Hospital for their care and
compassion.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A private
family graveside service will be held at a later date. If so desired,
donations in Jim’s memory can be made to METS Inc (metsinc.ca/)
or to a charity of the donor’s choice and would be
appreciated by the family.
