James was young at heart. He was a meticulous, proud and
private man whose riches were his family and friends. Anyone who knew
James Dwayne considered him a gentle giant. He loved the outdoors and
was an avid four-wheeler who enjoyed long bike rides up the mountains,
looking for new trails and new fishing holes, making sure to GPS every
spot so he would never get lost. When he was not four-wheeling, he
enjoyed long car rides and listening to music. If he wasn’t with his
family, he was known to be in his garage working on his four-wheeler
and Mustang.
He spent all of his time with his beautiful fiancé
Jess and his kids, which he cherished with his whole
heart.
James started his journey in the Military at the young age of
18. He left Cape Breton to begin his battle school training in April
1991, following with multiple tours overseas which he was incredibly
proud to serve with the (PPCLI) his platoon and serve his country in
the Armed Forces. James also spoke highly of his brother in arms and
long-time friend Ken Bailey; they went through basic training together
and served on different missions; he was a friend, confidant, and the
utmost praise for him; he was indeed his right-hand
man.
After deciding to end his career in the Military, he
retrained as an Internet Security Specialist and enjoyed building
programs and furthering his career in his field and was always looking
for new opportunities along the way.
