Obituary for James Corley
James Corley (August 11, 1948 – October 27, 2021)
Born and raised in Montreal, Jim relocated to Toronto as a young adult where he would further develop his skills as an artist, earn an honest living as a home renovation contractor and meet the love of his life and future wife.
Jim was known as a knowledgeable and positive force that faced life’s uncertainties with unwavering confidence. As a father, a grandfather, a husband, a brother and a reliable friend to many; Jim was strong, determined and led through example. As an artist and member of the Scarborough Art Guild he had a passion for expressionist paintings and was proud of his pieces that were selected for exhibition at gallery shows.
His passing is preceded by his wife Pam Stephen, mother Ruth Corley and father Thomas Corley. Jim is survived by sons Tom Corley and Marshall Ouellette (Nicole Lebrun), granddaughters Alyse Ouellette and Amaya Ouellette and siblings Norma Corley, Dan Corley and Bob Corley.
A memorial service will be held via invite on November 13th. In lieu of flowers please donate time or resources to the Scarborough Humane Society at 821 Progress Ave, Scarborough, ON M1H 2X4
