Feltmate, James Angus “Jimmy”, age 67, Cove Road,
Pomquet
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce
the passing of James Angus “Jimmy” Feltmate. With
his loving family by his side, Jimmy passed away peacefully on July
10, 2021 after a long and courageous battle.
Born in Antigonish, he was the son of the late Maurice and
Gwen (Pearl) Feltmate.
Jimmy was a devoted husband, father, and père to
his best friend Lily. He believed strongly in family, loyalty and
friendship. He was a dedicated employee at Highland Building Supplies
for over 40 years. He found peace in nature and the outdoors and was
an avid fisherman, hunter, photographer, and gardener. Jimmy loved his
baked goods and entertaining friends in his shop. He enjoyed long
drives and was a chauffeur to all! A model of patience, he was always
willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. We hope you get your big
buck in Heaven, Dad. The Cove Road will never be the
same!
He is survived by his wife and soulmate of 43 years, Rose
(Morell); daughters: Susan (Brent) Bethune, Lochaber; Cheryl, Calgary;
granddaughter, Lily Madeleine; siblings: John (Joan)
MacEachern, Manitouwadge, Ont.; Marie Henneberry, Dartmouth;
Bernie MacEachern, Antigonish; Finley (Bernadette) MacEachern, Truro;
Terry Delorey, Ontario and Jeanette Benoit (Clyde Bowman), Afton;
Godson, Cory Doiron, Pomquet. He will be greatly missed by
all the Morell family, who have supported and loved him like a
brother.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Rita
Smith; father and mother in law, Leon and Madeleine
Morell.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be in
