Obituary of Isabel Brown
Isabel passed away peacefully at Central Place in Owen Sound, on Tuesday, August 17, 2021. Born on March 7, 1929 in Wiarton, Ontario, Isabel Marion Brown (née Miller) of Owen Sound, was in her 93rd year.
Dearly loved wife of the late William Brown (July 17, 2009). Loving sister of June MacDonald, Sharon Ann Harris (Wayne) and sister-in-law of Al McKillop, Marg Miller, Paul Brown (Joanne) and Juanita Padfield. Isabel will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by her parents Jim and Marion Miller, her siblings, John Miller, Jimmy Miller (Eileen), Glenna Anderson (Don), Eleanor Van Mannen, Beulah Steer (Harold), Geraldine McKillop, Margaret Proctor (Grant), her in-laws, Don MacDonald.
Isabel owned and operated Wray’s Ladies Wear in Owen Sound for many years. The family would sincerely like to thank the staff at Central Place Retirement Community for the loving care and kindness that Isabel received in the last 6 ½ years while she was a resident there. You truly made it feel like home.
A graveside service to celebrate Isabel’s life will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Gary Stairs officiating.
