Irene Julia Autayo (Fitzpatrick)
August 8th, 1929 – November 6th, 2021
Irene Autayo died surrounded by the love of her family at the Queensway-Carleton Hospital in Ottawa, on Saturday, November 6th, 2021, at the age of 92.
Irene was the loving wife of the late Desmond and a devoted mother to Jane Nandy, Pauline (Gordon Edmonds), Margaret (Alex Robinson), Bernadette (Mark Peters), Patricia and Harold. She was also a caring and affectionate grandmother to Sheila Nandy, Stephanie Edmonds Muise and Laura Edmonds, Clare Robinson, Kathleen and Colin Peters and three great grandchildren. She was a sister of Mary Fitzpatrick, Monica Conway and John Fitzpatrick.
Irene was pre-deceased by her parents Matthew and Julia Fitzpatrick, her grandson Matthew Peters and her son-in-law Shubi Nandy.
Friends may call at the Zohr Family Funeral Home in Killaloe, on Friday, November 12th, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Andrew’s Church in Killaloe on Saturday, November 13th, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Andrew’s Cemetery by the Church following the funeral mass. Reception will be held in the church hall following the interment.
