SNELL, Ina Doreen (née Hobden) – Passed away at the Ross Memorial Hospital on Saturday, May 8, 2021 in her 70th year. After a courageous battle with cancer, showing her love, strength and dignity mom went to be with Dad and Greg. Mom is survived by daughter Stacey (Ralph) and son Jason. She is in the heart and soul of her grandchildren Hillary (Dan) and Joe. Great Grandchildren Mia and Evan will always have a guardian angel loving and watching over them closely. Predeceased by, but never forgotten were husband Rick and son Greg. Mom was also predeceased by her parents Harry and Neva Hobden and brother Bern. Ina is loved and missed already by her sister and best friend, her brothers, nieces and nephews. She will always remain in the hearts of her cousins, her friends and her honorary sons. Keeping with moms’ request, cremation has taken place and will be followed by a private graveside interment at a later date. The family wishes to thank all the doctors and nurses involved with moms care at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Oncology, and the Ross Memorial Hospital first floor nursing staff, your compassion will always be remembered. Mom had many doctors over the last few years that have been amazing to her and our family, however the last few weeks we were lucky enough to meet Dr. Sara Lyn Francis. Dr. Francis your kindness, your straightforward talks and willingness to go above and beyond will always remain front and center when talk of moms last days comes up – many thanks to you. Donations to Sick Children’s Hospital or the Canadian Mental Health Association Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge – Suicide and Intervention and Prevention Programs would be greatly appreciated by the family.
