HOPKINS CATHERINE ANNE nee CONNOLLY 2021

It is with heavy hearts we announce the loss of our beloved Cathy on June 18th, 2021 after a valiant battle with cancer. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family and close friends.
Born in Galt, Ontario, Cathy grew up in the Cambridge area, attended nursing school in Guelph, then moved to the Barrie area in 1983. She was a devoted nurse at the Royal Victoria Hospital for 35 years. Cathy is survived by her loving mother Ursula Connolly and is predeceased by her father, Robert Connolly. She will be deeply missed by her children Jeff (Amanda) Hopkins and Loren Hopkins (Aaron Anstett), and her cherished grandchildren, Peyton, Jonah, Olivia, Brinley, Elliott, and Imogen. Cathy will forever be remembered by her brothers Paul Connolly (Denise Lodge-Connolly) and Greg Connolly (Dana Choma). Cathy will remain in the heart of her beloved partner and companion Robert Cram.
Cathy touched the lives of many people and was known to be a devoted friend. She will be missed greatly by Carol, Sandra, Mary, Karen, and Nancy, as well as many others. Special thanks to the nurses and doctors at the RVH Cancer Centre and Cathy’s Palliative Care Team.
Respecting Cathy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations can be made to Ovarian Cancer Canada or the RVH Cancer Centre.
