Peacefully entered into rest at the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital, Picton on Sunday, August 29, 2021, Helen Dayton (formerly Storms) of Picton died at the age of 85. She was the daughter of the late John F. & Ida M. Mathews (nee Buchanan) and was the wife of the late Ted Storms. Helen was the loving mother of Chris Storms (Katherine) of Picton, Sue Vigodda (Oz) of Belleville and Liz Keyes (Al) of Arden. Predeceased by her son Mike and her daughter-in-law Sharon. She was the dearest grandmother of Michael (Amy), Deanna (Ken), Lindsey (Amanda), Justin, Kylie (Joe) and Jeff and great grandmother of Luc, Sophia, Ashton, Canean, Mia, Emma, Bentley, Emmett, Brooklyn, and Avaleigh. Helen was predeceased by her brothers and sister and will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, and especially remembered by her good friend, Sonja Wynen.
Mrs. Storms-Dayton is resting at the Whattam-Hicks Funeral Home, 33 Main Street West, Picton (613-476-2450). Cremation has taken place and a Family Graveside Service will be held at Cherry Valley Cemetery at a later date.
