Helen Kathline Kay Axford McQuiggan Tuesday October 26th 2021 avis de deces

Kay Axford, daughter of Louis and Lula McQuiggan, passed away peacefully in Stratford, Ontario on October 26, 2021.
Kay was born in Stratfordville on March 22, 1933, but was a long-time resident of R.R. #5 St. Thomas, and later of the City of St. Thomas where she worked in retail until her retirement. She spent her last few months in Stratford at McCarthy Place Retirement Residence. She was a caring and thoughtful person with a wonderfully wry sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Kay is survived by her daughter Linda and son-in-law Shaun, of Stratford, along with their children, Chris Brusey (Brittni) and Devon Brusey; her son, Richard, of St. Thomas, and his children, Rich Axford (Tori), Ben Axford (Randee) and Holly Squires (Kerry); and her daughter, Connie and son-in-law Rob, of Colborne, along with their children, Emma Greenwood, David and Liam Martino. Kay is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
In keeping with Kay’s wishes, in lieu of a public visitation and funeral, the immediate family will gather to celebrate her life.
Donations may be made in Kay’s memory to Plains Baptist Church, 6071 Fairview Road, St. Thomas, ON. N5P 3S8, or the Canadian Cancer Society, www.cancer.ca, directly, or through the James A. Rutherford Funeral Home. 804 Ontario Street, Stratford. 519-271-5062.
