Obituary
Passed peacefully away at Lions Manor Nursing Home, Placentia, on Monday, December 6, 2021, Helen Theresa Doody (nee Power), of Admirals Beach, St. Mary’s Bay, aged 90 years.
Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Alphonsus, parents Mary & David Power; brothers: John Thomas, Cecil, Walter and Rev. Fr. Val Power; sisters: Rita, Mary, Catherine, Matilda and Genevieve and son-in-law Samuel McEvoy.
Leaving to mourn brother Ben (Betty), daughter Kelly, son Tony (Nadine); grandchildren: Amanda (Matt), Shane (Kristin), Robert (Meegan) and Kayla (Alex); great-grandchildren: Adalya, Samuel and Shay and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, including special nieces Barb and Mary and nephew Tony for all their kindness, prayers and hospital visits during her illness.
Cremation has taken place. Interment along with her husband will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery, O’Donnell’s, at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Gibbons’ Funeral Home, St. Mary’s.
