Heather Anne Butler (Morrison) of Dartmouth, NS passed away peacefully at the Dartmouth General Hospital on April 11, 2021. She was born in Moncton, NB to the late Laurie Morrison and F. June Bellamy (Stevenson). She is survived by her daughter Toni Leanne Butler; sisters Gayle Morrison, Barbara Curry, Carol Morrison and Brenda Morrison and Aunt Janet Stevenson; step-brothers and step-sister Laurie Morrison, Louie Morrison and Rebecca Morrison; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her older sister Sharron Humphreys.
Heather was a graduate of Halifax Vocational School 1963. Upon graduation she worked for CNR. She relocated to Freeport, Grand Bahamas in 1973. It was here that she married and had her daughter Toni. She returned to Canada (Toronto) in the 1980s where she spent most of her life working and raising her daughter. Heather worked for Plantronics and later Litton Systems, retiring to Nova Scotia in 2016.
Heather always had a love for fast cars and driving fast. In her 20s she participated in many drag races in Nova Scotia. She loved going to the beach. She was a keen swimmer and enjoyed snorkeling.
A very special thank-you to the doctors and nurses, the extended medical care team, the Dartmouth Palliative Care team and the social worker on 3-West of the Dartmouth General Hospital. They gave Heather the most wonderful care, kindness and consideration in her last months with us.
