Harry Van Moorsel
Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a most courageous battle with cancer. He was in his 84th year and was the beloved husband of Helen (Middegaal), with whom he celebrated their 62 years of marriage. They lovingly raised their three children, Brent (Lorna), Pamela (Dean), and Darryl (Kate) in the Kinkora and Bornholm area, and most recently, they resided in Mitchell.
Harry will be greatly missed by his grandchildren: Jessica (Brendan), Greg, Lisa, Kylie, Danielle, Liam, Emma (Michael), Drew, Alec, Reid, Isabelle, and his great-grandchildren Everly and Patrick. His grandchildren were a source of such pleasure and he enjoyed spending time and experiences with each of them.
Having immigrated to Canada in 1948 with his parents and siblings, he continued his love of farming throughout his lifetime, even after moving off the farm and beginning his insulation business.
Harry will be fondly remembered by his siblings, Nelda Dwyer, Helen (William) Wardle-Hiscock, Albert (Ricky) Van Moorsel, Arnold (Josie) Van Moorsel, Rita (John) Dewys, John (Ricky) Van Moorsel, Bill (Tina) Van Moorsel. Dear brother-in-law of Christine Lane, Tony (Joan) Middegaal, Hank (Mary Ann) Middegaal, John (Ann) Middegaal, Joanne (Cal) Garrow. Dear cousin to Ann Vandeven (late Arnold).
He was predeceased by his parents John & Petronella “Nellie” Van Moorsel, infant son Brent James, sisters Liz Van Gaal and Toni Van Bommel, brothers-in-law Carl Smith, Fergus Dwyer, Peter Berendsen, John Van Gaal, and Louis Lane.
