Harold was a very humble man. His big brown eyes
and warm smile could light up a room upon his
entrance. Friendly and outgoing he made many friends wherever
he traveled along the roads from Pubnico to Yarmouth and Barrington.
He would stop at service stations, wharves, fish plants and Tim
Hortons. Having been a lobster fisherman all his life he
took great interest in the fishery. He would still be giving
advice to his sons and grandsons even after being retired although the
fishing industry had seen many changes over the last 20 years or
so. His family was the love of his life and his
life revolved around his 3 sons and his precious grandchildren whom he
loved dearly. He always looked for the good in people and
loved everyone, young and old. He will be sadly missed by family and
friends alike. The family would like to thank his
young buddies Darren Cunningham, Patrick Amiro, Gerard Stoddard and
most and especially Randy Belliveau who all took him on
outings and treated him like a king over the years. A special
thank you goes out to the V.O.N., doctors Horton, Sehl,
O’Brien and the nursing staff on the 4th floor of
the Yarmouth Regional Hospital for the excellent care he was
given during the past 3 1/2 weeks.Last but not least, we express our
heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Brien Moses who with his great intellect
and knowledge as an internist gave us an extra 10 years with
Harold with the regiment of medication he placed him
on. A great big thanks goes out to our family
doctor practitioner, Dr. Peter Loveridge for the compassionate care he
provided the past 46 years.
