Obituary Harry Burgsma In his home in Cambridge on Monday, November 1, 2021, Harry (Harke) Burgsma passed away peacefully in his 85th year. Loving husband to Gerda (Bos) of 63 years. Father to 5 sons, Ronald (deceased) (Gerda), Hugh (Kim), Byrne (Alice), Wayne (Elizabeth), and Jeffrey (Janine). Dear grandfather to 21 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren. Harry emigrated from Holland in 1955, married Gerda and moved to the Goderich area in 1958 where they farmed until retirement. His great love of animals was shared with the community through the creation of the ‘Dungannon zoo’, his hobby and joy. Retiring to Cambridge in 2003, Harry and Gerda enjoyed time spent travelling and with friends. Friends and family are invited to the visitation to be held at Central Presbyterian Church, Cambridge, Saturday November 6, 1:00-2:45 pm and the celebration of life service at 3:00 pm. A private burial will be held at Maitland Cemetery Goderich, earlier that day. In lieu of flowers memorial donations would be appreciated for the Alzheimer Society of Ontario.
