Gwendolyn Lee Orr
It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the sudden, but peaceful passing of Gwendolyn Lee Orr on May 21, 2021. Gwen was born in Halifax on July 2, 1958 and was a daughter of Grace Hayter (Moulton) and Kenneth (Roy) Hayter. Gwen is survived by her beloved sons, Jonathon (Steff) and Graham (Morgan); her sisters, Linda Hall (Bill) and Beverly Perry (Brandon); nephews, Nick and Chris Hall; great-nephew, Nicholas Hall; great-niece, Hailey; aunts, Lillian Johnston (Ron), Virginia Raftus; uncle, Lloyd Moulton; plus many cousins. Gwen grew up in the North End where she attended Richmond School. Later in life, she was a dedicated dietary worker at Northwood Manor and then for many years at the Halifax Infirmary, where she served patients with a smile. Along the way, Gwen forged many lifelong friendships, thanks to her kind heart and cheerful personality. Gwen’s passions included a good chat, playing cards and a sunny day at the beach. But her two greatest loves were her boys, Jonathon and Graham, who were her absolute pride and joy. Gwen had requested cremation with her ashes to be spread at Queensland, where she had so many fond memories. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Gwendolyn Lee Orr July 02 1958 May 21 2021..
