Guida’s Obituary
VEINOTTE, Guida Amelia ~ age 99, of New Germany, formerly of Wilmot, Annapolis Co., passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, in Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany. Born in East Dalhousie, she was a daughter of the late Stanley Elijah and Lorena Isabelle (Veino) Crossland. Guida was the oldest of nine siblings. She was kind, gentle soul who was soft spoken. She was a hard worker, making things from scratch. She enjoyed camping, fishing, picking blueberries and raspberries. Christmas spent with family was a special time of year for her. She was a member of St. Cyprian’s Anglican Church, East Dalhousie. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Veinotte, Greenwood; sons, Wayne (RoseMary), Factorydale; Gene, Bridgewater; brothers, Edwin Crossland, Waterville; Marcus Crossland, Middleton, Ivan Crossland, Bridgewater; four granddaughters, Rose, Andrea Angela, Adrienne (Rodney) Van Der Honing; four great grandchildren, Kaylen, Jazlyn, Savannah and Erica; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James “Dwayne” Veinotte; son, Errol; brother, Arthur Crossland; sisters, Isabelle in infancy, Margaret Gaul, Charlotte Pare. In keeping with Guida’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at a later date in St. Cyprian’s Anglican Church Cemetery, East Dalhousie.
