Obituary of Graeme Goebelle
Graeme Goebelle, FCPA,FCA
October 2, 1933 – December 12, 2021
Graeme is at peace following a year of profound health challenges. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Roslyn; son Hugh Goebelle (Beth Gilhespy); children David, Scott and Lesley Ahara (Tom Erdeley); grandchildren Grace, Kate, Rachel and Amy; sister Barbara Wright; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Nancy and Tony Yurkovich; nephew and nieces Craig, Judy and Jane Wright and numerous grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Graeme was a citizen of Georgetown for 60 years and contributed to the community in many significant ways. He exemplified what it means to give to one’s community which culminated in the Citizen of the Year Award in 2012. The family extends their sincere thanks to Dr. Neil Fleshner and Dr. Mary Gospodarowicz for their exceptional care of Graeme over the years. A celebration of Graeme’s life will be held 2pm, January 4, 2022 at the Club at North Halton, 363 Maple Avenue West, Georgetown, Ontario. To honour Graeme, contributions to the Georgetown Hospital Foundation or to Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills will be accepted with gratitude.
