Obituary of Gordon Russell Ogilvie
Ogilvie, Gordon Russell
Born May 16, 1933 at Mascouche, Quebec. A life well lived until his passing October 26, 2021.
Gord is predeceased by his parents Russell and Elsie (Coley) and first wife Beverly (Maitland). He is survived by his second wife Mabel (Scott), his children Penny (Ian) Fox, St. Paul AB and Michael (Vicky) of Kilmarnock, his cherished granddaughters Rachel (Brandon) Barker and Ashley also his siblings Marjorie Johnstone (Richibucto, N.B), Marina Smith (Mascouche, QB), and David (Lise) of Bracebridge, ON.
Gord’s life was defined by the trades he mastered and the businesses he and Bev owned and operated. These included Ogilvie’s Plumbing and Heating, Holiday Family Cottages, Kilmarnock Mechanical and Kilmarnock Estates. He was always busy. Gord served as a councillor for the Township of Wolford, and for many years looked after Wolford Cemetery and enjoyed announcing the tractor pulls at Lombardy. His hands were never idle for long.
He loved to drive and travelled extensively around North America to see the East Coast, West Coast and Alaska and so many places in between. Retirement found him at his winter home in Florida cheering for the Spanish Village baseball team and then home to Kilmarnock to be with friends and family.
A service will be held in the spring with internment at Wolford Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lannin Funeral Home. Online condolences available at www.lannin.ca. Donations in memory can be made to the Wolford Cemetery and Chapel.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Gordon
