Obituary of Gordon Ager
AGER, Gordon – Peacefully with his family by his side, Gordon Ager died at Bluewater Health on Tuesday December 14, 2021, at the age of 87. Beloved husband of the late Alice (1996). Dear partner of Shirley Frey. Loving father of Gordon (Kathy) Ager, Tilbury, Baby Eileen (1957), Peter (Terry 1995) Ager, Sarnia, Rosaleen (Duane) Carr, Point Edward, Michael (Mary) Ager, Bracebridge, Martin (Cathy) Ager, Sarnia and Alison (Andrew) Stoll, LaSalle. Cherished grandfather of Brendon (Joanne), Trevor (Brandi), Cortney (Ryan), Danielle (Benjamin), Sarah (Craig), Ryan (Rachael), Adam, Patrick, Nicholas (Ellen), Emily, Craig and Jordyn. Proud great-grandfather of Noah, Grayson, Taylor, Evann, Audrey, Oliver, Brooklyn, Chase, Leah and Talla. Second father to Mike Frey (Calgary), Jenni Frey (Sarnia), Jenni’s daughter Alisha, and baby Josephine. Dear brother of Malcolm (Judy) Beddoe, Durham and Timothy (Nancy) Beddoe, Oakville.
Gordon immigrated to Canada from Northern Ireland in 1966 with his wife and six children. He worked at Holmes Foundry for many years and finished his career in Windsor as a time study engineer with the Ford Motor Company. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Gordon enjoyed playing a competitive round of cards and watching a classic war movie.
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions there will be no visitation. A private family service will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE followed by interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
