It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Gordon William Smith on Saturday, February 13th, 2021 at the age of 56. He is pre-deceased by his mother Ruth Smith, his brother Norm, and his sister Sandra. Gord will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 27 years, Diane, his daughters Emily (Brandon), and Courtney. He will also be missed by his only grandchild, Kinsley, his nephew Brandyn, and many other nieces and nephews. He is also leaving behind his four-legged pal of 14 years.
Gord was employed by the Town of Kirkland Lake for many years. He was a classic car enthusiast, an outdoorsman, and loved spending time working on his tan. He was a devoted father and grandfather, and was loved by all who knew him.
Donations can be made to the Northern Cancer Centre. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
