Obituary for Gloria Jean Ruth Nobert
Gloria Jean Ruth Nobert – in her 82nd year.
She was sassy, generous, outspoken, glamorous, and beautiful. She could shop like no other, and never took no for an answer. She travelled the world, met famous celebrities, and loved a good “conversation piece”. She lived for diamonds, glitter, and expensive high-end accessories, but also loved a good dollar store haul. Would she run someone down with her scooter at the mall? Possibly. Would she fill a room with her charismatic personality? Absolutely. It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gloria on December 28th 2021. Gloria will be missed by her husband of 62 years, John Nobert. Her children; John (Jackie) , Sherri (Steve) and Chris (Moyra). Her grandchildren; Amanda (Daniele) Cameron, Sarah (Kyle) Cari (Alexander) Kristie (Jason) and Karlie (Jack). Her great grandchildren; Adelynn, Antonio and Luca.
John once said “my life would have gone a very different way if I hadn’t met Gloria”. John and Gloria loved to give each other a hard time, but could be found flirting again just as quickly. They loved their walks in the park to feed their animals, and trips to the mall where John took on the important role of the Shopping Bag Holder (which he did with little to no complaints at all). They loved each other endlessly, and fiercely. Gloria will be fondly remembered by many friends and by many family members.
We will miss this over-the-top, fabulous woman and we’ll remember her every time we catch a glimmer of something sparkly.

Death notice for the town of: Toronto, Province: Ontario
My condolences to you and your family. May her memory be eternal.
It is so sad to hear of the passing of my friend, Gloria. Gloria was the one that got me into the Scotiabank many years ago and we would always share great stories of the times we had working at the bank in those days. She was my boss but most of all she was my friend. She loved hearing stories and would call my husband John and myself to find out the latest gossip. She loved expensive things, purses, sunglasses and jewelry and glitter.
She loved hearing about my children and grandchildren and was so proud of her family, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and would tell me how well they were all doing.
She was such an amazing and interesting person that I could go on and on with the stories but I would have to write a book. I will miss her dearly, but I will cherish all the great times I had working with her and being her friend.
My condolences to John, he was always there for her and she told me how lucky she was to have him. Condolences to the family that she was so proud of .There will be a bright shining star in the sky with Gucci glasses on..
Gloria , you always made me laugh and were always kind to me ! I will always miss you .
My condolences to John and the immediate family.
Gloria : You will be missed!

At work, Gloria (Glo) was a force to be reckoned with – one minute she could have you shaking in your boots and the next you’d be laughing your heads off together like young school kids! I’ll never forget the (one and only) time she made me cry – that was in 1997 and I had just started working at the Bank. In all the years that followed – right up until she retired, I really got to know and love her.
It was obvious to everyone who knew her how much her family meant to her.
My deepest condolences to John – the love of her life and the beautiful family they created together.
You will be truly missed beautiful lady!
The night sky is one star brighter now.
