Gilbert “Bert” Davey, of Trillium Court Lodge, Kincardine, passed away at Alexandra Marine & General Hospital, Goderich on Friday, April 23rd, 2021, three months shy of his 90th birthday.
Survived by his brother Ron (Betty) of London and sister-in-law Lois Davey of Kincardine.
Cherished uncle of his several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephew.
Predeceased by partner Ruth Leggett, his parents Reg and Catherine (née Jarrell) Davey, brothers Lawerence (Effie), Leslie, Reg “June”, Owen and sisters Helen (Jack) Slessor, Phyllis (Herb) Shelton, his nephews Edwyn Davey and Jamie Davey and great niece Kerrie Slessor.
Bert’s family wish to express their thanks to the staff and residents at Trillium Court for the excellent care & friendship given to Bert during his stay there. A special thanks also goes out to Dr. Daters, Connie McMillan and the staff at Alexandra Marine & General Hospital for their outstanding care and compassion.
Cremation has taken place with interment at the Kincardine Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the Trillium Court Lodge, Memorial Fund would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
