Obituary of Gertrude “Trudy” Theresa Perry (nee Skates)
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Trudy Perry on Wednesday September 29, 2021 at Bonnechere Manor. Trudy was predeceased by her beloved husband George and her foster daughter of many years Missy. Trudy was a loving mother to David (Anna) Perry, Yvonne (Gary) Tohivsky and Peter. Trudy will be fondly remembered as an adventurous, fun, energetic and caring Nana by Sheryl (Cory) Dunphy, Nicole (Jeffrey) Morren, and Sean (Nicky) Tohivsky. Trudy will be lovingly missed by her great-grandchildren Waylon and Lauren Tohivsky, Liam Dunphy and Cooper Morren. Many others called Trudy “Mom”, as she was a foster parent for over 50 years and she will be missed by all of them, especially Robert.
Trudy loved her hobby farm, gardening, rescuing animals, and baking and being outdoors with her grandchildren. Everyone who met Trudy enjoyed her exuberant personality and positive spirit. Trudy’s final resting place will be at Holywell Cemetery, Mount St. Patrick, ON. Donations in memory of Trudy to the Butterfly Project at Bonnechere Manor would be appreciated by the family.
