Bathurst – Géraldine Couture, 75, wife of the late Martin J. Couture, passed away Tuesday May 11th, 2021 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst.
Born in Pointe-Verte, she was the daughter of the late Eva (Lejeune) and late Cléophas Guitard.
She is survived by: one daughter, Rachel Couture Pitre (Jean-Pierre) of Bathurst; one son, Stéphane Guitard-Garrett of Québec; one grandson, Joey Pitre.
Sisters: Thérèse (Jean-Yves) Dumont of Répentigny QC, Suzanne (Michael) Caron of Bathurst and
Charlotte Guitard of Beresford. One brother Ferdinand (Pamela) Guitard of Pointe La Nim, NB.
Several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was pre-deceased by her daughter, Tanya and siblings: Marie, Cléophas Jr., Evangéliste, François, Jean-Marc, Sylvio, Adrienne and Violette.
There will be no visitation or funeral service.
Donations in memory of Géraldine may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
