The death of George Edward Carney, husband of the late Eugenie (Parks) Carney of Losier Hall and formerly of Red Bank, NB, occurred on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at his residence at the age of 93. Born in Red Bank, NB he was the son of the late George and Amelia (Arseneau) Carney. George worked at Repap where he retired from after 40 years of service.
George is survived by: one son: John (Lynn) of Cassilis, NB; one daughter: Belinda Carney of Chatham, NB; one sister: Mary Hayden (the late Adrian) of Nordin, NB; one sister-in-law: Evelyn Carney of Marathon, ON; one grandchild: Rylan Carney and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents and wife: Eugenie, George is predeceased by: one granddaughter: Carlee; two brothers: John and Frank
Due to Covid-19, there will be no visitation. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 with Father Dan Melanson officiating. Burial will take place in St. Stephen’s United Church Cemetery, Red Bank, NB, later in the spring.
