George’s Obituary
Smith, George Bernard – age 68, of Yarmouth, passed away on June 5, 2021, at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born October 29, 1952 in Yarmouth, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Muise) Smith. He worked as carpenter for many years for different contractors. George was very sociable, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, either going for group rides on his motorcycle or going out fishing with friends. He is survived by his siblings, Donald (Alice) Smith, Carlton; John (Nancy) Muise, Calgary; Rose (Doug) Crosby, South Ohio; Susan (Paul) Richard, Wedgeport; Mary (the late Alison) Durkee, Yarmouth; Arthur (Karen) Smith, Ontario; Ralph (Nicole) Smith, Arcadia. Sisters’ in-law Brenda and Marge Smith. Nephew Mike Smith who was more like a son then a nephew, as well as many nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers John and David. Burial will take place at Mountain Cemetery at a later date. Memorial Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to H.M.
