Obituary
FOREMAN, GEORGE ALEXANDER – Passed away at Andy’s House Hospice, in Port Carling, on Sunday September 5, 2021. He was in his 98th year. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Edith Brings, parents John & Lena Foreman and siblings Irene (Gord Ryckman), Lillian (Tom Neil), John Foreman, and Daisy (Reg Melhuish). He will be missed by several nieces & nephews in British Columbia, Ontario, and Nova Scotia, and by Elizabeth Northey who was a great friend through her late husband Ken and became his primary care giver.
George lived most of his life in Toronto, moving to Bracebridge when he retired from I.O.F after a successful career in the stock broking business. He continued working in accounting. His mind and memory were sharp to the end.
George and Edith enjoyed travelling, time at their cottage and spending winters in Florida. In his younger years, George was very involved with Boy Scouts, Big Brothers, Air Raid Warden and lead several dance bands.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will take place on Friday September 10, 2021, at 2:00p.m. at Reynolds Funeral Home. A recording of the service will be available to watch at www.reynoldsfuneral.com
