George’s Obituary
FRASER’S MOUNTIAN – George Albert Frazee, 90, Fraser’s Mountain, formerly of Green’s Point, passed away Monday, August 2, 2021, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow with his family by his side.
George would joke about writing his own obituary and it would read: “He’s Gone – Truck for Sale”! However, his family feels that his life and legacy are deserving of much more! He always said that he was born with work boots on, as he was rarely idle! He was employed at the Trenton Car Works, where he witnessed many company name changes, and with hard work, dedication and determination, he rose to the title’s of Assistant Chief Inspector and Quality Control. George had a sharp and keen memory, and could remember the names of co-workers and recall many stories from days gone by. When the plant was idle, he was not! He would do odd painting and carpentry jobs to look after his young family. He was a man of many talents and the original “Master Tinker” of the Frazee Clan. George married Joyce (Boyles) on April 6, 1951 and was married for 69 years until her death in 2020. Together they enjoyed camping, fishing, darts, playing cards and especially their time at Lochiel Lake, making many lasting friendships and memories. George always possessed a keen interest in current events, news, politics and sports. He proudly watched his children and grandchildren pursue their dreams in sports, education and careers, and was always available with advice and a little coaching!
Surviving are his children, George E. (Rosalie) Frazee, Avondale; Donna Johnson (Brian Gratto), Westville; Steven Frazee (Jane Benoit), Fraser’s Mountain; grandchildren, Andrea, Graham (Lauren), Glen (Catherine), Bryan (Jenn), Brett (Hilary), Michael (Andrea), David (Sherri), Jessica and Sandy (Nicole) and Kenzie; great-grandchildren, Kate, Carly, Ada, Leah, Riley, Mya, Chloe, Londyn and Klaira; honorary grandchildren, Heather and John Druhan.
He was predeceased by his wife, Joyce; daughter-in-law, Connie (Brightman) Frazee; son-in-law, Eugene Johnson; other family members.
A private service will be held in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Caroline Barclay officiating.
If desired, donations may be made in memory of George to the Hillside Cemetery or Canadian Cancer Society.
The Frazee family would like to thank Dr. Spencer Barclay and his wife, Rev. Caroline Barclay, who together have shown extreme care and compassion, medically, professionally, and spiritually. They also wish to thank the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit staff and Sutherland Harris Memorial Hospital, Restorative Care Unit staff for the excellent care their dad received. www.pkmacdonald.ca

GEORGE ALBERT FRAZEE – JULY 10, 1931
Four score and ten years ago on July the 10th
A baby boy was born 14 lbs., not sure of the length!
Beautiful brown eyes, so tender and soft,
He lived with his grandparents in the Trenton jail loft!
He always worked hard and one day heard a voice,
It belonged to a young lady, and her name was Joyce!
They had George and Donna, and life seemed to be even,
And Lo and Behold, along came Steven!!
At the Trenton Carworks, he would work every day,
He still puts in a night shift in his dreams, without pay!
He was always fixing things and lending a hand,
He crack filled and painted many houses across the land!
He said he was born wearing work boots,
An honest man, his horn he doesn’t toot!
He has had lots of cars, good fortune and luck,
But now it’s just him and his little red truck!
He spends many a day watching the news,
And he can talk about anything with his own views!
Some of the news, well it has been called fake,
But Papa doesn’t care, if he’s at Lochiel Lake!
George, today is your day and we are so proud,
When we sing Happy Birthday, we plan to sing loud!
We love you and want to share “Best Wishes” galore,
And may you continue to celebrate at least 90 years more!!
(After death)
We gathered on your 90th to show our love,
And we HOPE you’re with the angels up above!
No more pain, no more battles or strife,
Now you’re together with Joyce, Our Mother – Your Wife!
