Gary’s Obituary
COMEAU, Gary Gerard – Age 55 of Saulnierville Station passed away peacefully on Monday, August 23, 2021 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital surrounded by family. He was the son of Laurent Comeau and the late Claudette (Doucet) Comeau.
Gary was a loving man with a big and bright personality. He loved to talk with people, turning his penchant for gab into a 32-year career as a master hairstylist at his home salon, Images Par Gary. There he befriended many loyal patrons who loved to chat as much as he did. He enjoyed teasing loved ones and customers, but he was also a generous man who would lend a helping hand where it was needed. He loved the outdoors, going for long walks and was always up for a swim. He was a caregiver to his father for over 10 years and nothing made him happier than spending time with his great-nephew, Luxen. He loved to travel, and to have a laugh with his friends, preferably with a good drink in hand.
He will be deeply missed by his sisters, Nadine O’Neil (Earl), Concessions; Sr. Jeanne Comeau, fj, Riverview, NB; Suzanne Stuart (Ernest), Church Point; nephew, Christopher O’Neil, Bangor; niece, Melissa O’Neil (Chris Bjorkquist), Halifax; great-nephew, Luxen O’Neil, Bangor; and many others in the community.
He was predeceased by his mother, Claudette Comeau and his brother-in-law, Earl O’Neil.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Sacred Heart cemetery in Saulnierville.
