With sadness, the family announces the passing of Gail on December 24th, 2021 at the Betel Home in Gimli.
Gail was born on November 14th, 1944 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and soon after her birth the family returned to Winnipeg. She grew up in the west end of Winnipeg and attended Sargent Park School and Tec-Voc High School, where she received the Governor General’s Medal upon graduation.
Gail worked for Air Canada for a number of years and loved the travel (and shopping!) opportunities this provided.
She leaves to mourn her sister, Sharon Mulder (Bill Martin), nephews, Jan (Melissa) and Ethan Mulder and great nieces and nephews Vivien, Louis, Mack and Mae, sister-in-law Linda, as well as special friends Janet, Maxine and Brenda. We all agree that Gail loved to shop and with her recent move to Gimli one of her first questions when settling into the Betel Home was ‘How am I going to get to Johnson’s?’
Gail was predeceased by her parents, Mae and Bob Scott and niece Melanie Mulder (Brian Sparrow).
In lieu of flowers Gail requested that donations be made to The Canadian National Institute for the Blind in Manitoba, cnib.ca, a charity which was so very helpful to our mother.
As per Gail’s wishes, there will be no funeral. She will be put to rest in the cemetery in Gimli with our parents in the spring.
Condolences can be left at www.neilbardalinc.com
Rest in peace dear Gay
