January 15th, 1950- December 19th, 2021
Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit, Albert Francis Lawrence of Kelligrews, CBS (formerly of Bell Island). Predeceased by parents: Albert & Annie, brother: Gerald, parents-in-law: Hubert & Hilda Fagan, in-laws: Ernest & Elsie Fagan, and Rosalind & Clyde Butler. Leaving to mourn loving wife of 50 years, Madonna, two beautiful daughters: Connie Davis and Wanda Lee (Steve Walters), and three adoring granddaughters: Jessica Davis, and Sara & Chloe Walters. Also mourning his loss are five brothers: Bill (Carol), Mike (Alice), Ed (Andrea), Gary (Rose), Terry (Susan) and three sisters: Joan (Ray Johnson), Margaret (Bill Newell), Marie (Tommy Cummings) and sister-in-law: Florence, brothers-in-law: David (Joselyn), Reg (Nancy), and Rick; as well as many special nieces and nephews. France was a social butterfly who loved to visit his many family and friends and loved to see company come through the door. He enjoyed his time in the woods, at the cabin, and playing many games of cards. He leaves behind a close-knit circle of family and friends who will miss him dearly. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be in Hickey’s Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Tuesday, December 21st from 3 PM – 7 PM. Funeral service at All Saints Anglican Church CBS, Wednesday, December 22nd, at 11am. Interment following at All Saints Anglican Cemetery, Dunn’s Hill Road, CBS. No flowers by request. Donations in his memory may be made to the CBS/Paradise food bank. According to provincial regulations, COVID passports and identification are required for guest visitation and funeral service.
