It is with heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce
the passing of our dad, Francis Duke of Freshwater, P. Bay (originally
from Iona, P. Bay) at the age of 92 years.
Predeceased by his loving wife of 64 years, Carmel (Barron),
his parents James and Jane Duke, his brothers Jim, Ray, and Leo,
sister Betty (Collins).
Leaving to mourn his children Frank (Arlene), Ferg (Susan),
Cyril (Rose), Bill (Sue), Brenda (Fred Wakeham), Dave (Kathy) and
Beverly (Billy Thorne). His grandchildren Jackie, Jason, Adam, Joshua,
Jeffrey, Mitchell, Robert, Sarah, Shane, Jennifer, David, Samantha,
and 13 great grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn brothers Bill
(Lucy), Cyril, sisters Margaret, Doreen, and Ann (Fred Petten) and a
large circle of relatives and friends.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher’s Funeral Home,
Placentia. Visitation to take place Friday, October 1, 2021 from 2
p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral to take place at 1 p.m at the Holy Rosary
Church, Freshwater.
