We, the family of Floyd Norman MacAulay, regret to announce his passing on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born November 17, 1949, in Sydney, he was the son of the late Angus and Johanna (MacGillivary) MacAulay.
Over the years, Floyd worked in maintenance and as a dishwasher for Dairy Queen and Jasper’s Restaurant.
He is survived by his sisters, Gail MacAulay, Sydney, Tammy MacAulay (Darren Boudreau), Sydney and Kelly, Corner Brook, NL; brothers, Bill, Richard, Angus (Marilyn) and Robert (Karen), all of Sydney; nieces, Carolyn, Johanna, Cora, Nicole and Megan; nephews, Ethan and Gregory; and grandnieces and grandnephews.
Besides his parents, Floyd was predeceased by his sister, Edna Brayon and a brother in infancy.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Monday, December 13, 2021 from 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, December 14 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Dennis Lamey officiating. Interment will take place in Oakfield Cemetery, Marion Bridge.
