Erna Lyster Aamotsmo Friday March 26th 2021

LYSTER, Erna
(nee Aamotsmo)
November 11, 1927 – March 26, 2021
Erna passed away peacefully on March 26, 2021, at the age of 93. Beloved wife and best friend for 67 years to John. Loving mother of Jan, Hans (Mary Anne) and Geir. Loving grandmother of Tyson, Lindsay and great grandchildren Faith and Page. Loved step grandmother of Mike, Melanie, Vickie, and Ashley and step great grandmother of Landon, Corbyn, Konur (deceased) Teagyn, Graham, Cameron, Brooklyn, Everly and Jaxson. Dear sister of Kari. Predeceased by brother Odd and parents Arne and Gunvor.
Erna and John embarked on an adventure, into the largely unknown, emigrating from Norway with their three young children in 1960. They found themselves in Navan, being warmly welcomed into the village community. Active involvement in the community activities came naturally to Erna and included many years of service with the Navan Women’s Institute. She also had a passion for curling with the Navan Curling club, including being a proud member of the team that scored the first ladies 8-ender in the new clubhouse. Her bonds in Navan remained forever strong and her friendship and enthusiasm will be missed by her close friends.
Due to current restrictions, a Celebration of Life will be held in Navan at a later date.
For those wishing, in memoriam donations to the Ottawa Mission or the Bruyere Saint-Vincent Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Erna Lyster Aamotsmo Friday March 26th 2021..
