Obituary of Eric Joseph “Trooper” Gallant, Glace Bay
It is with great sadness that we the family, announce the sudden passing of Eric Joseph “Trooper” Gallant, age 48 on Friday, October 1st, 2021 at his residence in Glace Bay.
Born in Boston and raised in Glace Bay, he was the son of Mary (O’Connell) Gallant and the late Edward Gallant.
Eric had worked in the Towing Industry as well as Road Traffic Control. He enjoyed watching movies (horror and home fixing) and will be remembered as having, “The Big Care Bear Personality”.
Eric is survived by his wife, Nicole (Gillis) Gallant, one daughter, Sara and two sons, Brendan and Michael. He was also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.
Besides his father, he was predeceased by his father & mother in law, Lloyd and Debbie Gillis from New Waterford.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 16 Reserve Street, Glace Bay. There will be no services at this time.
Memorial donations in memory of Eric may be made to the Diabetic Association.
