Elsie Stephenson Monday October 25 2021

Elsie passed on October 25th, 2021 and was laid to rest with a private Angelican Service at Riverside Cemetery in Lindsay, surrounded by her immediate family.
Predeceased by her father Thomas and mother Mabel (nee Williams) and brothers Thomas and Kenneth Smart. Elsie is deeply loved and missed by her husband of 68 years Harold, her sons Michael and Craig, their wives Eleanor and Toni and forever remembered as a loving grandmother by her grandchildren Dana, Brianne, Caitlin, Tyler (Jen), and Logan.
Elsie was blessed with many achievements throughout her full life, finding her calling as a volunteer at a young age. As a volunteer for the St. Johns Ambulance Service and a 63 year Associate of the Sisters of St. John the Devine, Elsie was the recipient of many awards including the Provincial Community Action Award presented by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario. Elsie cherished her work with Community Living, teaching sign language to developmentally challenged adults.
After retiring from the business world, Elsie then attended Wycliffe College in 1994, graduating from Throneloe University with an Associates in Theology in 1997 then was ordained a Vocational Deacon in January 1998. Her vocation and dedication to the ministry took her throughout the Kawartha region.
The Stephenson family expresses their profound thanks for the years of exceptional care Elsie received from the many staff at Victoria Manor.
