Obituary of Elizabeth Brigitte Bhandari
On April 7th, 2021, as the sun began to rise and the birds sang, our beautiful mother, Elizabeth Brigitte Bhandari, lost her battle. She was at home with Yogi, Anita, Asha, Goind and Rakesh by her side. Elizabeth fought each day with the utmost grace, determination and positivity. Her smile continued to light up the room even on the darkest of days and the resilience shown by her is something that we’ll remember forever.
The outpouring of love and support is truly a testament to the positive impact she had on everyone’s lives and how fiercely loved she was. It has given the Bhandari family the strength to carry on and live our lives in a way she would have wanted us to. Her dedication as a nurse, mother, wife, grandmother and friend will be etched in our memories, along with a lifetime of her principles and teachings.
A special thank you to all the surgeons, physicians, geneticists, nurses, PSWs, physiotherapists, OTs, RTs and care coordinators for their dedication, efforts and time throughout Elizabeth’s arduous journey. We are so appreciative for the remarkable care she recieved.
The Bhandari family is very grateful to have shared this life with the most beautiful and selfless soul for as long as they did. Elizabeth will live on in our hearts for generations to come.
