Elizabeth Zakar (nee Kish) passed away
peacefully at Whisperwood Villa, Charlottetown, PEI on Monday, July
26, 2021 at 2:00 AM. She was predeceased by her loving husband Charles
Zakar who passed away on November 10, 1995. Elizabeth was born on
February 7, 1926 in Matraballa, Hungary and emigrated to Montreal,
Quebec when she was 7 with her Mother Ethel Kish and her sister Mary
Kish (Bogdany). She lived in L’Orignal, Ontario and
Rarotonga, Cook Islands before moving to Prince Edward
Island.
Cherished Mother of daughter Nancy and
her husband Bruce McCartney of Kelowna, BC and her son Ron Zakar and
his friend Kelly Mullaly of PEI. She is survived by her sister Helen
Venne, sister-in-law Mary Zakar, nieces Kathy Bogdany, Liane Venne,
Carolyn Zakar, Lisa Zakar, nephews Paul Bogdany and Paul Zakar. Also
missing Nana Betty are Bruce’s sons Mike and
Greg.
No services are planned at this time.
In lieu of flowers a donation to the Canadian Cancer Association would
be appreciated.
