Elizabeth Mae ‘Betty’ Demings (MacDonald)
February 20, 1951 – January 3, 2021
Betty died peacefully at Campbell House in Collingwood, with her Dear Friend Kevin Sullivan by her side. Betty was in her 70th year. Betty is predeceased by her Father, Archie MacDonald, her Mother, Helen Sobey, her twin Brother Jerry MacDonald and her Husband and Soul Mate, Gary Demings.
Betty was born in Sidney, NS, and raised in Toronto’s west end. Betty was a graduate of the Registered Nursing Assistant program at Central Technical School, and worked at Central Hospital, on Sherbourne St., after graduating.
Betty will be deeply missed by family and many close friends. She leaves behind her Dear Friend, Kevin Sullivan and his family, her second Mom, Anna Thompson and lifelong friends and cousins-in-law, Cathy and Jamie Durnin, Darla and Frank Lofranco and Paul and Kathy Thompson. Special thanks to Kevin Sullivan who has been Betty’s rock over the past couple of years.
As per Betty’s wishes cremation has taken place and no future services are planned.
